@blobfrog Worst game company ever. And I know MS and EA exist π
I used to own the deluxe editions of every installment of Starcraft 2, but had to request account deletion at a certain point never to buy anything from them again. I got fed up with them making me do stuff I don't want β first that Battle.Net app, then the battle tagsβ¦ Why do I need this to play single player campaign? π©
@blobfrog I didn't have as much to lose in terms of time invested, it was mostly about money β I originally bought SC2 for SP campaigns, wasn't interested in competitive online games at all. Then a friend of mine showed me what it was about and I liked it. I was only getting started, I think I only got into the diamond league and then they made battle tags mandatory. I circumvented it as long as I could by running SC directly, not from Battle.Net app, and one of the updates prevented it
@blobfrog Even MS weren't that insistent when they were merging Skype and MS Live accounts.
Wasn't an easy decision for me nonetheless, but I just can't tolerate such attitude β not from people, and especially not from companies whom I paid my money to. I still enjoy watching SC2 streams on Twitch from time to time, but no β I'm never giving them a penny ever again π
Sir, my hat is off to you. I played too much WOW and to request acct deletion from Blizzard would to be destroy a decade of adventures. I can't bring myself to do it.
I really hope that it will become f2p one day, or that some FOSS MMORPG will become a thing... πππ
