- mechanical windows
- mechanical door locks
- no Alexa/HomeKit/Google
- no Internet connected thermostats, lamps, or whatnots
- a dumb TV
- wall switches for lights

@jpmens what's your strategy for buying non-smart TVs? Feels like it's getting harder and harder.

@annika my strategy is to get a computer monitor of sufficient size and stick a Kodi box on it. I'm broke tho, maybe there are other options

I have a Samsung smart TV, but I never accepted that license agreement that I have to in order to install apps or use the voice assistant, I'm not logged into any services on it. It's networked though, has a nice built-in DLNA capability so I can watch movies from my file server, I can also hook external USB drive into it or my laptop using HDMI cable. Works for me 🤷
