Did he ever deny it though? No, I got it. And I don't have favorites in this one, We is an interesting read indeed, but a bit bland to my taste as fiction — still a significant work in the sci-fi dystopia genre. And I don't consider 1984 Orwell's best work either, I like his first one, Down and Out in Paris and London, the most 😅
I was just a little surprised, I've never heard him denying it.
