Democracy is ugly, and we now see that constitutions do not limit it over time.

Obviously we want to also avoid the other bad forms.

There are a few options left, I'd say... and we owe it to ourselves to pursue them.

Except AI doesn't have any personal interests like a monarch would, which makes it more trustworthy.
And in most fictional dystopias "the AI" turns out just a good old meatbag pretending to be one šŸ˜‚
But that is what is the problem would be with it in reality. If AI is ungovernable, it's really scary, if it's possible to influence it, various groups might do it pursuing their personal interests.

Does a monarch have personal issues? He has nothing to gain.

As we see with current machine learning and language models: GIGO still applies.

All a tyrant needs to do is feed some Communist shit like Wikipedia or something like the Daily Stormer into the AI.
