They didn't opensource the engine of this game? Now that I think about it, for RAGE they didn't do it too. Things have definitely changed since Carmack left 😩

@m0xee @anthonyg @gamingonlinux Id Tech 5 was almost gonna be open source just like its predecessors. Unfortunately, Carmack left and Id Tech 5 never saw the light of day. Carmack working in VR at *Facebook* didn't turn out to work in the end.
