@thor You're right, macOS does get slow on older hardware. That's why I mostly used my macs with OS that they came with, and just bought newer hardware every few years.
The only time I can remember updating OS having real performance advantage was 10.7→10.9, but that's mostly due to how bad in terms of performance 10.7 was 😂
