@DotardTed Being Russian I'm very well aware who this arsehole is, I just don't watch state TV too often toβ¦ just remain sane π
When I see some excerpts I'm almost always like "WTF?!!!"
IIRC they were still fighting "nazis" in Ukraine about a month ago and now he has this pagan-imperial patch, what?! π²
I agree 100%... Everybody knew they were going to invade Ukraine, except for the Russian soldiers. Going from exercises directly into combat without psychological prep is harsh and horrible for morale.
After mobilization, things really fell apart, soldiers issued airsoft helmets and body armor, over a million of the best & brightest run away, recruits told to ask family members for female sanitary products: Tampax to plug bullet wounds, Kotex for abdominal wounds.
Let the memes fly!
So many people look on the ancient symbologies of war, and label them "Nazi," just like Russia condemned the Azov Battalion for wearing the same ancient Norse Valknut symbol. "These Nazi Azov soldiers must be captured and executed," they said. While they welded cages for their trial in Mariupol, these same "Nazi POW's" became some of the first to be released last May! Huh? Russian propaganda reversed so quickly I almost got whiplash!
Proving Russian claims were NOTHING BUT PROPAGANDA!
@DotardTed Yeah, I know. I'm paying close attention to what's going on since 2014 and of course I've never supported the invasion. Azov guys might be right wing and Ukrainian nationalists (nothing's wrong with that per se) and the imagery is just a subculture thing. But the way Soloviev is now into what he labelled others as nazis for is hilarious! The scale of inconsistency at which this is carried out is just mind-boggling π€ͺ
@ringo How most people perceive these things is different I think. In US most would still be: "WTF, man?! This is sick!!!"β in Russia most are like: "M-m-mkay".
There was a nice case when some journo was trying to figure out how much Russian Tik-Tok "influencers" would charge for some political shit and he gave them the assignment to convince people that taking deer blood baths (there were rumours Shoigu and Putin were doing this) is normal practice and all of them accepted π
@DotardTed
@ringo And I know for a fact that a lot of people in FSB are really-really-really into this occult shit. I mean they can do anything on their leisure of course, but these are people who can seriously fuck your life up and if they can do so based on some tarot reading βΒ that is really bad π¨ @DotardTed
@ringo
> i didn't see the OP
I don't see it too now, Ted probably deleted it for some reson π€·
It was something relatively harmless, a video of one of the top Russian propagandists, Solovyov, wearing Russian Imperial patch while accusing Ukrainians for nationalism and US for imperialism. It just looked inconsistent. They get so eclectic at times that they try to splice Russian Empire and USSR together so it looks like one great history β no matter how bad these blocks fit together π€ͺ
@DotardTed
@DotardTed What he says about equipment is laughable. Remember the photos Ukrainians uploaded in March of what captured Russian soldiers had on them: expired food rations and maps from the 80ies. And this was real army, what was called "elite" regiments. I can imagine the equipment that draftees use now. Even if they buy it themselves beforehand, I'm pretty sure most of it gets stolen in the process β by the time they get to the frontline, they probably look like scavengers from Mad Max movies.
