If you are considering deleting your google account then I highly recommend you change the email on any site you use.
You cannot register a gmail account with the same username, it will forever be locked.

@oklomsy They also have horrible functionality for data takeout. You start the archival process, but when it's done, it wants you to give them your phone number to actually download it. And it was the main reason for deleting the account in the first place — I didn't want to give them my phone number and without it I couldn't log in most of the time 🤦
In the end I just downloaded everything using fetchmail. GMail is the absolute worst 😩
