I bought a bass guitar and #Rocksmith 2014 for my kid. Couldn't figure out why the guitar sound wasn't coming through the speakers but was fine on the headphones. My eventual conclusion was that the shitty laptop speakers have zero bass response so of course you can't hear the bass guitar.

@annika This reminds me of how my friend wanted to introduce a new colleague of his to music by Richie Hawtin, the one he released under his Plastikman moniker in particular. He told her about sound design and all that, then he puts some track on as an example, most of the sounds in which are in the lower range of course. And they hear… nothing! Because the speakers he used were really bad. It was so funny 🤣
