@aster It's highly doubtful he himself believes in that, he's just using it to appeal to the crowd, and in case with transphobia/homophobia/queerphobia, also to western conservative crowd. He used that (& other stuff like NATO fearmongering) as a justification to start the war. And he started the war as a justification for the long term economic decline. He's a tactician, not the master-strategist he's often painted as.
