I am misunderstood though; I meant that not everyone should host scientific journals, as most people -including me- don't do scientific research.
But, I agree with you on blogs. Almost everyone should host their own blog (the perquisite for that is everyone living a fulfilling, creative and worthy lives which is sadly not the case in the consumerist world we live in today).

I think blogging was mainstream at a certain point in time — before they realized they could rename dating sites into social networks and push them to wider audience 🤭

Now we have TikTok… And had Instagram before that — so now we're certain there is something even worse, but at that time we didn't, so it was quite popular!
