Intel's microcode has been decrypted. "You can understand how Intel mitigated spectre vulnerability, explore the implementation of Intel TXT, SGX,VT-x technologies!"
@lanodan@p I've only had a weak Athlon, however I am planning to build an AMD server, and buy AMD devices in the future. my only devices currently are two ARM boards, an old i5-6400 PC, and my i7-3xxx ThinkPad which I love very much, but I don't like how it's Intel...
@straw@p I have some ARM boards but they're more like dust catchers than anything else. And current router is based on a Qualcomm mips32.
I just hate dealing with embeddeds and there isn't that many alternative platforms out there which aren't (sparc64 is roughly dead and anything ppc64 costs a fucking limb).
@lanodan@p@straw When you consider how much money gamer bros dump into LED riddled computer gear, going for something like a Raptor Blackbird isn’t too much of a stretch beyond that.
@m0xee@wrongthink@p@Hyolobrika@straw Yeah, I have a fractal cube for my NAS and it looks much better than this thing, from both aesthetic and utilitarian perspective. (HDD slots sucks a bit in terms of access but hey there is 8 slots)
