There are Russian instances where people speak Russian almost exclusively. But if you, being Russian, joined an international instance, it would be weird to speak Russian there 😉

@vikingkong @safiuddinkhan@fosstodon.org That's right, maybe it's just my impression as I prefer a crowd of people of different cultural and occupational backgrounds and it doesn't hold true for Fedi as a whole. I don't have any problem with people using their native languages from time to time, but I prefer english so we all understand each other without any means of translation.
