Given Sam Altman's description of the government as the 'insurer of last resort' who will bail out the industry when it fails, I think Bernie Sander's proposal to nationalise the US 'AI' industry is spot on. After all, that's what Altman wants, right? Let's do it. Bring them into public ownership.

@lightweight That's only makes sense if building the data centers and bailing the industry out is inevitable. I'm not ready to conceed that. Government takeover also only makes sense where there are many jobs at stake; this isn't the case. This is more a matter for strong regulation.
