I got as far as Core Beliefs and already started wincing. Truly sad to see such a great project become so very lost.
TL;DR upper management at GitLab has joined the machine cult and is taking the project with them.
"Software will be built by machines, directed by people. AI is the substrate on which future software gets built."
Wrong way, turn back.
I'd hope it's occurred to at least someone at GitLab that if we hand over software development to machines, the fantasy of control over that process will be short lived.
Further, it risks a future where we will not be able to read software written by 'AI', soon enough needing abstraction layers & interpreters to understand it. Human-legibility in code will be a bottle-neck.
Our computed languages, built to be read & written by people, could become increasingly irrelevant under this capture.
