there is an rfc for a project-wide llm policy for rust at github.com/rust-lang/rfcs/pull/3959

still need to read the whole document, but from an initial scan, i have some thoughts that i want to address in the thread:
- dishonest llm use should not significantly influence the policy. we should not let genai be used proudly, it should be shameful to use it
- authorship of anything by genai should be banned. this is the bare minimum. more is nice, but i want to at least have this baseline
- this rfc should include all forms of genai, not only code. code should never have different rules from the rest when it comes to genai
- this policy should be a baseline minimum, sub-projects can have stricter policies, but not weaker ones

i will need to read it in more detail later to see whether those are already addressed
