Open-source software is in existential danger -- and the ramifications of that are grim for everyone but the opportunists who'll make a few bucks from its demise.
@dangillmor what would prevent someone from using this on proprietary software to create a clean room implementation of that? What makes it uniquely suited to doing that to Open Source software? Looks to me like it's just pointed toward open source to make a specific point but should be usable on... anything, if it's actually doing clean room work.
@ubersoft @dangillmor It is a bigger issue for freeware, because the GPL licenses were created to prevent exploitation of a developer's effort.
