OK, first real snag - Audacity crashes on Fedora when I try to use the fade out effect. It doesn't do this on KDE Neon.

It seems I will have to edit podcasts on my laptop.

@ubersoft I'm really starting to consider setting up a Qubes desktop (or -like approach), to juggle differing dependencies (security and app). Kyle Rankin's book, Linux Hardening in Hostile Environments, first turned me on to this.

Rankin is currently recommending BlueFin Linux, which is a Flatpak first model, which also would solve disparate app-distro dependency conflicts, but I have an issue with Flatpak storage gobbling.

@lwriemen also some flatpak apps have a nasty habit of not noticing parts of your filesystem you want it to notice. I'm glad Flatseal is around but I'm annoyed that it needs to be.
