'Artificial Intelligence' is a marketing term. It's misleading based on most people's understanding of 'intelligence'. It's really exactly the opposite of intelligent.

@lightweight when I was at uni we used to get taught about knowledge based systems to get us interested into going further and looking at artificial intelligence.

Thing is, the "knowledge" part is meant to be curated. Slurping up all data everywhere with no curation or insight isn't Intelligence.

@lightweight which is another thing to consider with earn it, chat control and Online Harms. Scanning everyone's private communications isn't going to get you intelligence really either.

You still need analysis, and AI isn't going to help with that either.

@onepict @lightweight Heh. Maybe that's why these AI bots are being targeted at progamming; when you look at the mini waterfall (ignore the agile marketing around the word, waterfall) that should occur in all programming tasks (analysis, design, implementation, test), analysis is the item most deemphasized in the popular programming paradigms today. ;-)
