Having Halloween in Aotearoa NZ today is silly. It's spring, and light until 8:30. Halloween is designed to soften the blow of approaching winter and provide a spark of enjoyment at what can otherwise be a somewhat grim season. It's totally out of place in the Southern Hemisphere now. Do it at the end of April if you must.
