It has become clear that the software world is basing fitness to hire too much on specific technology specialization.
Is it due to ageism? i.e., the fact that popular technologies change every 10 years (guess not data). e.g., I have written make files, but haven't touched ninja or even a tool like meson.
Is it productivity concerns? i.e., eliminate training time.
I would expect critical thinking to be a much higher bar to entry than technology.
