I think you have to be a certain type of personality to see value in scrum. #agile is broad enough to have mass appeal, even if you know how tainted is the Agile Manifesto by 'code is king' thinking. When you wrap agile in process, it becomes decidedly less agile, and scrum is one of the heaviest processes I've encountered. (Yes, that does include CMM.)
Of course, there's always a difference between process and 'process in company <x>', but scrum seems like agile meets Taylorism.
