As I ironed a shirt this morning, because that’s what I do, I thought it might be amusing to run a poll I’ve run in the past about this particular habit…

And if could have added a fifth choice (you can only have 4), I was going to go for the more comical:

I have a perception that the entire world of “ironing” is fading away as our society gets more casual and also as we get more and more fabrics that need less ironing.

(For me, give me a good old 100% cotton shirt anytime, because I can steam-iron that thing to be crisp and flat! (Having said that, I do also like the ease of modern fabrics..))

@danyork Among the younger generation I'm starting to see a rejection of plastic-coated and petroleum-based fibers as part of their rejection of fast fashion (based on the environmental and ethical issues behind it).

I suspect you might see a return to ironing with a subset of that generation, especially those who choose to invest in more durable, longer-lasting, less-disposable clothing made from natural fibers.
