I’ve taken to counting and marking the number of gaps in the reed that I need in advance. Starting from the middle and counting out, to make sure it’s centered. If I’m a couple of gaps lopsided, I’ll shift the reed a bit, rather than re-sley.
Is that a normal thing? No idea! It’s never been mentioned in the project books I’m working through.
With diplopia, astigmatism and a mountain of floaters - all which vary with tiredness - reed threading is easier than heddle threading, but not by much.
#weaving & gaps for #Fiberuary (not in fabric though)
