We built one of those digital menus for restaurants and coffee shops, where you scan a QR code and the menu would open up. This was around 2017.
Those are now a lot more common, and I fear that the things we originally built for convenience are starting to be the norm now. So much so that some places wouldn't have a physical menu.
We were by no means the first to do this, but I'm devastated that what we did to help people is now being used to exclude people with no means to buy a smartphone.
