Hi #fediverse friends, can I ask your another recommendation?

Meeting headsets, what are we using nowadays??

@Gina
I usually avoid headsets and would rather have my regular headphones (e.g. in-ears for me) combined with whatever mic I have at my disposal since I have a couple of them. Headset mics are usually crap, a 5 euro clip-on mic will probably sound better than most (gaming) headset mics.

Just thought I'd share this because we don't all have to own crappy/uncomfortable headsets with crappy mics :)

@graves501 yeah the mic is a big concern for me, I'm considering this as well

@Gina

There should be some decent USB mics out there (Blue Yeti is popular, but I don't know how good they are).

My setup is audio interface + studio mic + whatever headphones I'm using :)

@graves501 @Gina I wish there was some ranking/judging of headsets and USB mics from the audio receiver's perspective. I've heard some people (including executives who present constantly) recommend their setup without realizing that it sounds terrible to people on the other end
