I've been considering an Android device for a while now - being able to get an adblocker for a mobile browser would be wonderful and Firefox on Android has that now - but fundamentally you need to have some degree of trust in your OS vendor, and what the actual fuck is this: mastodon.social/@protonmail/11

@dajb "you don't have to use [the thing you were default-opted-into by the company that makes the whole device]" is not a compelling argument. Who wants to be in a that sort of walking-on-eggshells adversarial relationship with their own devices?
