I've been a signal user for years but moxie's condescending view of foss developers is infuriating. he's been this way for many years.

@dthompson I agree but unfortunately there still isn't an alternative that is buildable from source, e2ee-by-default, and works well on both iOS and Android. With the recent WhatsApp snafu, it's unfortunately the best option for those users.
Once Element (or an alternative matrix client) becomes more usable and feature complete, or a good XMPP iOS client emerges (works well for notifications from third party servers), then we can put a nail in Signal.
