If I'd known that 2020 would see my kitchen table also be my office and my kids' school I would have made very different decisions about where I put wall sockets.

@mhoye this generalizes, i think. if i ever rewire this place, there're going to be about 4x as many outlets as anyone in 1940-whatever felt were necessary.

@brennen @mhoye I like having Ethernet between rooms and a patch panel in the electric cupboard. As well as many electric sockets.

@liw @brennen @mhoye if possible, moving the data patch panel separate to the power one will eliminate a lot of ghosts in the network
