@johns all I could think of when you said that is this #SNL Weekend Update bit where Hammond as Clinton says “you'll miss me … I was *fun*”.
Rewatching it now I'm struck by the idea that he also joked that the next POTUS “would restore dignity to the office”.
I mean, I think Clinton was corrupt & an anti-poor centrist, but he was, in fact, dignified compared to what we got now.🤦
