Finished "Prophet Song" by Paul Lynch. What an amazing horrible #book I will never read again. I can't imagine anyone doing a better job at making you feel like you're RIGHT THERE -- being a parent in an evolving secret police state, then escalating civil war zone, then dealing with faceless corrupt bureaucracy and human traffickers. The prose is "moving" almost in the Charles Olson Projective Verse sort of way.
