Things that are not «features» of an app:
- The license
- The technologies it uses
- The fact that it’s simple
- The application it’s an alternative to
Your app should be compelling on its own. What makes it worth using? How can it help people? Highlight those things instead!

@joao Good question! An app can only really be minimalistic if you compare it to other apps with more bells and whistles. I think people who publish apps should focus more on what the app does than what it doesn’t. If your app is minimalistic, say exactly what it does, and let the description speak for itself.

@bragefuglseth just as a nitpick :) license is a feature. But app devs already have fields in appstream to state the license, not really needed in the app description, which goes to your point :)

@joao There are a lot of things that are useful to know about apps that are still not really «features». The license has very little to do with the actual functionality of the app
