Actually not really. The beauty of mainline linux on phones not only that you are using the same software stack across devices (laptop/phone).
But that those 10 distros are using the same upstream components.
If a distro has a fix for a modem manager bug and upstreams it, it benefits every single one of those 10 distros

If another one of those 10 distros works on a new feature for Bluetooth and upstreams it, it benefits not in that distro but the other 9.
