This country simply follows the almighty dollar. The best solution is to put more dollars into more people’s hands to get the economy and society working for more of us.

NO. When you are putting a dollar in someone else's hand, that is a dollar that you took from somebody else. If you feel that giving your own money away is worthwhile, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that and I salute you for it. But stealing from one group to give to another is wrong.
