The data show that reducing poverty significantly reduces crime. The simplest way to abolish poverty is to put money into the hands of Americans to empower themselves financially. The #FreedomDividend would make America safer and healthier.

This is wrong. The American economy has done more to lift people out of poverty than anything else in the history of the world.
The "poor" in America have homes, televisions, multiple cars, air conditioners, smart phones, internet, and access to the best health care system in the world.
While we may not have completely eliminated poverty yet, we have come closer do doing it than anyone else in the history of civilization.
