My #librem5 just showed up!

Actually posting this from it, it's pretty neat!

Turns out you on a #Librem5 you can install android in a container and it runs at native speed. The android window shows as an app, so I can just use an android app if I find a native version lacking, neat!

@vincent I love waydroid on my Librem 5 but can't say that it runs at native speed without ample caching, after which it smoothens out significantly. Did you tweak your setup to lower memory overhead?

@jc I spoke quickly when I said native speed, I didn’t boot into android to compare! But it does fell faster than the rest of the native UI around it

It’s using ~700mb of memory at rest for me, so it’s leaving quite enough for a few apps
