What music player do you use on #Linux? I'm trying to find a good one with Library management capabilities for local files.

@thelinuxcast I typically recommend Jellyfin for client-server self-hosted media streaming and Lollypop for local media organization and plugin integration.

@jc Is there a native Jellyfin Linux client? Like there is with Plex? Or would I always need to use the web interface to play music?

@thelinuxcast You're in luck - there is an official Jellyfin desktop client: jellyfin.org/downloads

@jc Sweet. I'll give Jellyfin a look. I play for Plex, but I never keep it set up for long.

@thelinuxcast Sounds good! I also converted to Jellyfin from Plex. If you ever run into problems, the Jellyfin community is very helpful at r/Jellyfin or -troubleshooting:matrix.org
