Am I the only one who thinks that this was blown way out of proportion? Yes, the response of #raspberrypi 's social media manager was atrocious, but the original outrage of their announcement is silly bordering on idiotic.

@thelinuxcast Reading through much of this, what stood out most to me is that people still somehow believe that #RaspberryPi is #openhardware #oshw. On what grounds? Did they release their board design files somewhere and I've been living under a rock?

What they've got right is that 10 years after purchase you can still get up to date open source software that works on it.
