I haven't experienced log out problems with either app, although I've only started using #tooterβ yesterday. do note that there's an update to the β-app yesterday so make sure you're running the latest version!

@jameshjacksonjr @cybette Could it be that the app crashed before it logged you out? (when you tried to open the librem one account)

@jameshjacksonjr No, everything works well when I open your profile using my fosstodon and mastodon.social accounts. It depends on the instance your using, and the instance you try to open the profile from - but doesn't happen with every account on a certain instance. I'm still trying to figure out what causes those crashes and need to further study the mastodon API. I also observed irregularities in loading account data on popular Android clients.

Here's a video, where you can see that when I click on @molan 's account, it works fine. when I click on @jameshjacksonjr 's account, the app crashes/closes immediately and I have to restart it. (however it does not log me out)
I tried the same thing with beta and regular versions of tooter, with the same results.
let me know if you have a debug version of the app for logs.
(as reference, Tusky on Android works fine)
and by account, I mean profile. sorry for the confusion.
It seems like, as @jameshjacksonjr said, the profiles on @librem.one instance will crash, and I haven't found profiles from another instance that will do the same.
@cybette @jameshjacksonjr Thanks a lot for the video. That's exactly the issue. But I can without issues open @jameshjacksonjr 's profile from the mastodon.social and fosstodon instance.
At the same time, I found a profile on the fosstodon instance which causes the crash (tested with both instances/profiles I use) 😅

@cybette @molan try searching for and clicking on my profile in the app see what it does for you i tryed 3 others from that server all 3 it kicks me out of the app

@jameshjacksonjr @cybette I've missed your screenshot. But as you see, I can open that profile without problem - and all data is loaded. But we'll figure it out sooner or later.
@molan are you and dysko planning to merge the code work togther and thanks for the great work you are doing refreshing to see lots of development work happening on many many apps on.SailfishOS
@jameshjacksonjr Yes that's the idea. The Tooter version which is in the store right now already includes some merged code. Another release is pending: https://github.com/dysk0/harbour-tooter/pull/50
Tooter β is here for testing new stuff, collect feedback and maybe also motivate one or another dev to help with the project :)
Idk for the moment if dysko still plans to work on Tooter, but we're in contact with each other.
@jameshjacksonjr @cybette That's unfortunate. There isn't anything different between the two apps which affect the login state. But I'll have a look at it :) The next tooter release will be pretty much the same as the previous tooterβ version 1.0.4-2.
