Extremely nerdy question, and boosts would be gratefully appreciated.
I have an Ubuntu linux box that I've hacked upon with apache and various bits to get some websites working internally. They're for my use with my gaming.
I am looking to migrate off Google Drive and onto NextCloud hosted in-home.
Is there a way I can keep this one box and use subdomains so I can have both NextCloud and my gaming sites on my Ubuntu install? Or better to have separate machines?
As for what you should do, depends on the specs of this particular machine. Nextcloud can be somewhat demanding of resources, depending on how many users and how active they are.
Apache configuration could also be a pain, but usually isn't that bad. Have one configuration file for each website in /etc/apache/site-available and then enable them using the built in Apache management tool.

@matthew @chgowiz I haven't tested or read so much... but on a Linux machine I have tested copies of live sites as localhosts. I can install multiple and done like you write, I think. But I didn't figure out that or how I could reach both of them on same machine (not using VM or else). But would it be doable, you mean? Can be interesting in the future for me.
