Do you use Borg backup with Vorta GUI on Linux? Should I install Borg first and then Vorta, or is all managed if I install Vorta from the repository (LMDE--Debian)? I will find out when I try of coiurse, but if anyone know, and if you think Borg is a good or bad b/up solution both for local external drive and remote? #linux #borg #vorta #foss #backup
@hehemrin I don't use Vorta, but borg is a really great tool. Been using it for all my backups for ~3 years. Combined with filesystem snapshots it's hard to beat.
If you don't have 100's of GB to backup and need offsite storage for backups, check out borgbase.com, which should sound familiar if you use Vorta. Not affiliated, just a happy customer.
