There is apparently a nationwide (US) shortage/backorder of all methylphenidate based drugs. So while Focalin isn’t even available to put on backorder, it also means related drugs like Concerta are indefinitely gone too.
This is a real bummer, because while no meds work *well* for my #ADHD, those seem to maybe do *something*.
My doctor graciously wrote a script for Adderall XR, which is apparently available now. But maybe I should just take sugar pills. At least they’d taste good… lolsob.
@shawnp0wers It's discussed also here in Sweden about shortage/high risk for shortage of several drugs now, was in news this week, maybe it was like 8% of all drugs have this risk. There is a work ongoing about fees on drug companies when shortage, but also talked about that for drugs with low volume or low margin, the drug companies/specific drug may instead leave the Swedish market. Not good.
