On the off chance that anyone who sees this uses #DarkTable or #RawTherapee , do you use one or bothor even more ? I've just about got to grips with DT, but find the interface on RT more polished. I also like some features of #gimp. Should I invest another year learning RT !!?? #photography #filmphotograpy

@malcyates I have used RawTherapee now and then on a basic level for a year or so. My prel strategy is to continue to use it, together with digiKam which I have recently changed to as my catalog (and more). I’ll see more when when (if) I have migrated to Linux. RT has just released 5.9, although not yet for macOS.
@hehemrin Although I'm really an OSS person, I use Windows for.photos as I use Canon's surprisingly excellent DPP for my modern digital stuff.
I have always had probs with Digikam on windows, but he real answer is that I should run two virtual machines. Running a virtual SuSE instance works on Windows, but is not ideal wrt speed.
I do appreciate the fact that we have these wonderful OSS choices though 😉
