Created a Threads profile to see how well it works for connecting with other music ppl/promoting stuff. Have to say that a big, algorithm-driven monolithic social media platform feels really intensive again after the chill vibe here 😄 seems better than Bluesky though, just for the video support alone.
@golemwire yeah, I like how the general tone is really civil here and the discussions are often actually interesting. Instantly saw lots of drama when scrolling the feed over at Threads 😄 it seems like a good platform for posting music clips to get a wider audience though. My first introduction post with a piece of music included got already a pretty nice amount of engagement and lots of replies from people I hadn't seen on other platforms before.
