#LG #Gram 17 mini-review:
The good:
* Crazy light and quite thin
* Amazing display
* Fast CPU
* Decent GPU? Haven't really used it yet
* Keyboard is surprisingly usable. Not the best, but much better than the 2019 Gram 17
The bad:
* Thermals? My initial impression was that the machine got crazy hot, but after using it for a while, it seems to have settled down. Nevertheless, this is a thin laptop, and it obviously doesn't have Power Mac G5-levels of ventilation going on. ;)
...
OH! One more plus: the management engine can be "disabled" (if you trust that), as can secure boot.
Quick help:
F2 to get into bios, F10 for boot menu
Go into bios, go to advanced tab, then hit alt-shift-F7 to get the REAL options. :D
@RL_Dane Woahwoahwoahwoahwoah woah Alt+Shift+F7 for advanced settings? Is this a hidden undocumented feature or is that keycombo shown on the screen?
Is it a normal thing to have hidden firmware settings?
