A few years back, I was hanging out with my mom as she was watching Persian tv. There was some old cleric speaking and two sleazy-looking young guys that "looked like they just stepped out of a strip club" (my exact words at the time)
My mother listened to him for a little while, and when I asked her who he was, she simply said, "a very silly/foolish/stupid man."

You're good, no fight here.
It's necessarily an issue of ᾰ̓πορῐ́ᾱ (aporia - impasse), and the closer you look at it, the less you know.
But yes, both. But it also means that the rights of the mother cannot be usurped in protecting the rights of the child.
So, if the child is precious, and the mother equally precious, what the heck do I have to do in that equation? Or indeed, the law?
I think that it is a deeply personal moral issue, and a medical issue.
…
…so let moral and medical people decide proper bounds, if bounds need be imposed. Not worthless, sleazy, conniving politicians looking to drive a wedge and whip up gullible people into a frenzy.
That is just so utterly abhorrent.
I'm not meaning to start a fight BTW 😬
