And I suspect that this particular incident prompted many to reevaluate their relationship with Rackspace, as customers or investors. Theirs is a brand that could have quietly long tailed into obsolescence. Inertia is powerful, until interrupted.
But now that a spotlight is on them, the perception of laziness (patching mistake) juxtaposed with Rackspace's premium pricingā¦
I bet a whole bunch of small businesses jumped to Digital Ocean, Heroku, AWS et al.
