International media must now be given free access to Rafah. Israel & Egypt must open the border and allow journalists to do their job in #Gaza.
Not just through "embeds".
The IDF & Hamas must guarantee the safety & freedom of movement of reporters.
The world has a right to see.

Why aren't Israel's friends in the international community doing more to guarantee #PressFreedom? Why aren't the US, EU (including Sweden) and UK governments doing more to pressure Israel, Egypt and Hamas to allow international media to operate and report freely in #Gaza?
The ongoing international reporting blockade on #Gaza (by denying reporters and photographers the right to enter, work and move freely in the area) risks setting a dangerous precedent for other war and conflict zones. Press freedom is non-negotiable ("security conditions", "it's for your own good", blah blah), just as other human rights are (or should be) non-negotiable.

Usually the phrase "Israel has the right to defend itself" is used to justify things Israel is doing, even when innocent people get killed.
But in this case:
"Israel has the right to defend itself... against journalists"?
That does not seem convincing. They really should give access to journalists.
