I'd really welcome *technical* and NOT *political/ethical* answers to this question

I am still trying to get my head around Bluesky

Is the AT Protocol - in what it can do already, or in the short term will be able to do - better than ActivityPub that is behind Mastodon?

I can find nothing decent that explains this in layperson's terms…

So you assume it is possible to separate those?

I don't think that works, technology is politics 🙂

In your question you ask what is "better", but what is meant by "better" is very political. "Better" for whom? For society, for some kind of common good, or for a certain company's business? That's political.

@eliasr Thanks, reply guy.

I KNOW the politics and ethics of this much better than I know the tech aspects. I want to understand technically how the AT Protocol is supposed to work.

But you would not know that, as you do not follow me and as far as I am aware have never engaged with me here.

So, kindly, let me ask my questions, OK?

@jon absolutely, go ahead. Sorry for bothering you.
