Google made it official that important apps like Messaging and Dialer are no longer maintained in the Android Open Source project. A free Android on its own is pretty much useless now.

yeah it's kinda annoying but i don't think any bank has online banking that doesn't feel like i'm using a system from 15 years ago

@tay Mine has something at least reactive... Doesn't mean it's good though, but still better than just some mobile app that suddenly decides not to like my rooted phone anymore.

Last time I tried neither postmarketos, not even sailfish os was able to show cell broadcasts for example.
